We were in a chain and completed our house sale on the agreed date. There was however problems with the removal firm we hired (they had 2 other jobs on) and we ended up having to use the buyers removal firm to vacate the property, which we paid for. When we moved last year I received a call frm my solicitor advising that I could hand over my keys at 4.45 pm. There are no guarantees on time as I understand. You paid for the removal, the other party took a risk in moving a full freezer, not your problem. Wishing you well in your new home.
