Barclaycard turned my student mastercard to

a gold mastercard , can they do that I received no letter stating that they are changing it

    This is presumably an upgrade. Why is it a problem? I guess you can decline the upgrade if you want.

    It's not a problem , they didn't inform me that they are upgrading it have barclaycard stopped the student credit card ? , it's not a problem

    If it's not a problem why are you creating one? Either accept the upgraded card and be happy about it or call them, decline the upgrade and ask for the original student credit card back. End of story. You will not receive any compensation.

    How long have you had the Student card? Did you think it was for life?

    I guarantee that when you applied for the student card it would state that it would be changed to a different card after 3 or 4 years.

    What to do now? - Well check the terms of the new card - are they different to the old one? Interest rate check is a must.
    Take it from there.

    if you have a DD set up to pay make sure it's still operative
