Moving to EU - To sell car, or to get it converted to LHD
Options
Hi all!
So we're moving to EU (CZ) in a few weeks. We have a Renault Megane Dynamique 1.4. We bought it this February for 4500 including 2 years extended warranty and now due to husbands job we have to relocate. I checked with a local Renault dealer who wouldn't buy/sell this model but advised us form other buyers a price of 1800 if we were to sell to a dealer. We could hope for (if had time) to get 3000-3500 for it privately perhaps.
Its 27K driven, full service history, MOT till 12/12 and tax till 01/13.
I think the car was originally a LH model so I was wondering how much it would cost to have it converted back to a LH model in Czech Republic and registered there.
Trying to weigh out my options here.
Thanks,

Far too expensive and way too much hassle.0

You could always just drive it over there, albeit on wrong side0

i dont think there is a need for it to be converted to LHD for you to export it.
do some research as i think it just need re-registering out there and de registering over here and few tweeks here and there to make it legal for there. if your hiring a movers firm how much would it cost to plonk it in a back of a HGV trailer?0
