Tesco and Purple Parking

I am interested in the club card deal that tesco have with purple parking - http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/clubcard/deals/deal_purple.htm
Does anyone have any experience or know how this deal works? I understand it is going to be a quarter of the price, but of what price and how do you obtain a price / book etc
I did try asking in my local tesco, but I had enough trouble finding someone who knew what tesco clubcard deals were and it went downhill from there. Any help would be gratefully appriated,

I can't help you understand Tesco deals, but I can say I've used Purple Parking at Heathrow and found them excellent. Fastest transfers ever, but perhaps we were just lucky.

the deal is mentioned on the Tesco Clubcard website, either send them an e-mail or ring purple parking and see what they say, they may well do it over the phone and you pay when you turn up with your vouchers

We've used Purple Parking a few times, and the service has always been great. I think to get the clubcard deals you have to phone the booking line in the clubcard brochure that's sent out with your vouchers. It's probably on their website somewhere as well.

I have used my Tesco dealtime tokens today to book my Purple Parking for my holiday in July - 17 days parking at HEathrow cost £104.95 which I paid for with £105 worth of Dealtime tokens from Tesco which had 'cost' me £26.25 in Tesco Clubcard vouchers. Basically you have to send off your Clubcard vouchers (using the coupon in the Dealtime brochure from Tesco - ring 0870 842 0842 for Clubcard Deals customer service to get one if you weren't sent one with your clubcard vouchers) saying which 'deal' you want to receive tokens for and you then receive back four times the clubcard vouchers' value in deal tokens which is really good value. The deal tokens come with instructions and a telephone number to ring Purple Parking to book your parking. They give you a code to write on the tokens and you post them off to them. If you change your mind about the deal you want you can also use the deal tokens for other deals in the brochure - hotel bookings or restaurant meals etc. Since I hadn't exactly paid for the clubcard vouchers I feel I have got the parking for free, although you do have to send them in to Purple Parking Special Delivery which cost £3.75. Good luck.

Thanks for all your quick replies inc Jaxxx for the run though. Can I ask a couple of questions on your post Jaxxx?
Did you know what the cost was going to be before you ordered your dealtime tokens or did you just exchange a load and hope it covered it?
How long did it take before you got to the point of ordering today (and presumably you have to wait until you recieve the tickets from purple parking on top again now)?

    Thanks

I had actually got £100 worth of deal tokens for a meal we were going to have at Christmas, but then couldn't go due to illness. I gave my son £50 worth to take his girlfriend out for a meal a couple of weeks ago, then received another £55 worth that I had ordered thinking I would always find something to use them on and they were such good value. When these arrived the booklet showed Purple Parking as a new Tesco Deal partner. I knew I needed parking and had looked on their website late last year and seen the cost of it and thought I'd try and find a cheaper way to get to Heathrow. But when I realised I had exactly the amount of deal tokens to cover the parking cost I thought I'd book it up right away. It was very simple - you just ring the number given and tell them all your flight details in the same way you would normally book parking. It is a special tel no for using the Tesco deal tokens for purple parking though. I'd suggest you look on pp website, fill in the details of your trip, get the price, then send the right amount of clubcard vouchers off to tesco (you get 4 times their value - so if the parking costs £40 you only need to send in £10 of clubcard vouchers). Easy peasy. If you change your mind when they arrive you still have the option to use the deal tokens for one of the other deals in the brochure. I imagine purple parking will confirm my booking by return, but as far as I'm concerned it's all booked up now - they take your credit card details in case the deal tokens don't get to them anyway.

We've used Purple Parking a few times and can recommend them.

We've paid for the 'Chauffeur/Meet & Great' level too..........it's pricey but a fabulous service:j . Their chauffeur waits right outside the airport terminal doors for you to arrive and after unloading cases and a quick chat, he drives your car to their secure car park.

On your return to the UK, the chauffeur and your car is waiting right outside the airport terminal doors for you. It's the most stress free airport driving/parking we've ever encountered. Their staff are punctual, smart and polite.

I am not connected to Purple Parking, just a satisfied customer.;)

Worth checking Purple parking prices first to see how much they would charge you without the deals tokens. When booking deals with hotels they charge you more if you use Clubcard deals tokens...I know the clubcard vouchers are free (ish) anyway, but you can get better value for the other deals with immovable prices...e.g. Blockbuster won't put their prices up
