ctc disability element back pay

I've been recieving DLA for my son for over a year and wasn't told about the ctc disability element, does anyone know if i'm likely to get this back payed? i had no idea i was entitled to this

    I think you will find it will only be back dated one month.
    There is no way they will back date it to the start of your award.
    Best to call and ask.

  • i called them today, the lady i spoke to said it was possible to get backdated three months but i need the dates that my DLA started, i'll have to wait till monday now as i lost the reward letter in a recent move, hopefully they will back date it but if not i'll be happy with the extra money every week, just wish i had known before now.
