If you still have an account with the bank you can simply ask them to print out any of your accounts that had PPI.
Your mis sell reason is not strong but if you do get info on the loan you want to see if it was front loaded ie was the PPI added on to the cost of the loan and you only paid one payment covering the loan and PPI that would be a stronger mis sell.0 -
We are still banking with Nationwide [both of us have for 20 +years]
i did call them a few years ago when loan was still being paid off and told them we was mis sold and that we wanted our ppi money back but was told there was no proof and was fobbed off ,but they did cancel further payments of ppi so rest of loan amount was reduced .I will contact the bank next week and see if i get any where
thanks0 -

I am hoping that some of the regulars will pick up on your post as i am wondering if there will be a problem as you have already tried complaining.0

No, the OP can still complain of mis-selling. The Bank have (apparently) simply cancelled the PPI mid-loan, so a successful complaint (by no means certain with the reasons given) would now only redress the amount paid prior to cancellation.i am wondering if there will be a problem as you have already tried complaining.0 -
The OP said she was "fobbed off". If Nationwide (actually a building society, not a bank) did this in accordance with the FSA's DISP rules and gave her six months to go to FOS then they will now be able to time bar.Moneyineptitude wrote: »No, the OP can still complain of mis-selling. However, you are right that an unsubstantiated allegation that the OP was told it was compulsory when it was not is unlikely to be upheld and it also seems to have been a monthly premium if the payments went down.0
