1. Virgin will shortly be introducing a free set-top TV box for customers taking up to 8Mb broadband and talk anytime phone package at £19.99 per month.
For those who just take broadband, they will charge £40 for it.
Basically its just a Freeview box.
2. In yesterdays Financial Mail their CEO indicates they are intent on expanding their non-cable operation, and that they plan to team up with Cable and Wireless or Tiscali to offer services to households not covered by cable.A decision on who they use will be made this week.
3. They have now increased the connection charge on their non-cable chargeable calls to 6p,and now have the same expensive ngn,and mobile call rates that the cable arm have.No doubt minute billing will follow.

I thought it was going to be a Freeview box with IPTV to feed TV over the broadband? It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

My understanding is that IPTV will not be available to later this year.0

Crazy, it is just a Freeview box!
You'd think they'd spend the money on IPTV boxes now instead of later. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
