southern electric standing charge hike
We had our letter yesterday about price increase, we have electric only so prices up by 9% . They have also put our standing charge up from 17.64 p per day to 26.10 per day (before vat) . Did they announce this and I have missed it . This is a massive rise (roughly 48%). our standing charge alone will go from £68 for a year to £100. Have any others done this. I think i will be switching shortly.

They announced the average price rise would be 9% for both gas & electric. Not everyone will get an exact 9% increase; some will see a lower increase, and some like you a higher increase.0
