Benefits are hard to claim when in doubt

Hi to all.
I am new on here, Ive but been reading here for a long time, excellent forum and good advice.
Here's my story.
I left my job the end of july, reasons i dont want to say on here.
I claimed Jsa and was entitled to it, also claimed HB and CTB also. I was asked to fill in forms to state why i had left etc. I did etc.
I did get a payment from jsa backdated from july.Which i was grateful to receive. But I have been sanctioned 6 weeks as from the 29 august to the 9 october which is a form of punishment, it has been decided I left my job as voluntarily. It could have been 26 weeks.
I don't want to appeal, as i'm not good with all this.
I got a letter from the HB saying im entitled to HB and CTB all backdated as from first date of my claim. Will this be stopped because of the sanction ?
I'm going to apply for hardship payments as I live on my own and dont have any children i'm not sure if i will get it but i will try.
I luckily have a job interview Monday, let's hope its a good turn over.
I would advise anyone of thinking leaving their jobs, Dont!!! strict Rules apply now for claim benefits.
Benefits are hard to claim!! I'm not a person to complaining or start moaning. The people at the jobcentre are helpful as much as possible. If you work with them, they work with you.
I will let you know how i get on.
Do i ask my adviser about hardship payments, and they process them, as i dont know much about it.
Many thanks...
I cant turn back the clock, and i dont wish too..I know i'll get another job. That what keeps me positive.:)

Strict rules have always applied to those who are found to have left theri job voluntarily without good casue or who have been dismissed through their own fault.
Good luck with the interview."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
Best of luck with your interview, sadly jobcentre has to apply the rules with little leeway but many times they dont know the whole story behind someone leaving their job.Good to see your positive outlook on the future,Im sure you will do well.0

Your HB & CTB will probably be suspended once an ETD has been received by your LA.
Who should then write out for income for that period which I presume is pretty much nil and will then reassess so to speak on that nil income and then you should still be entitled and will release the suspension.
Or they may just leave it in payment.0 -
Thank you all for your reply's.
I'm not the type of person to be sitting around wanting to claim benefits. As I feel the longer your unemployed the harder it be to have the will power to look for a job.
Unfortunately people do leave jobs, but it happens, we just have to move on, and accept the change, my old employment is in the past now, no wasting time looking back because that time has finished.
We all have the strength to move forward, if we have the courage to change with support or without it.
I wish everyone good luck and i'll stick around on here for further advise if i need it.0 -

No, it's only the JSA which is sanctioned, not the HB and CTB. Speak to them to update them on the change in your circumstances (i.e. being sanctioned).0
