Invest Connect - Money saver or money waster?

Hi,

After using some property websites and finding a property I liked the look of, I had to give my contact details to get more details and was contacted by this company.

They told me that the property I was interested in had since sold (a lot cheaper than other property in the area) and told me that they are a company who deals with property auctioning and for a one time fee would help me find a property before it reaches auction. I have since received an email from them promising the following:

· Handholding service through the auction process.
· Bespoke auction property search once a week, we will search through all of the UK’s property auction houses (all 480)
· Full legal packs on the properties you are interested in
· Access/viewings at the properties before the auction
· Pre auction bids on your behalf – the best way to get a deal is to buy before the actual auction
· You will also have exclusive access to our Distressed Sales 48 hours after our Premium Clients. We have already negotiated massive discounts from RICS Valuations, normally in the range of 15-35%.
· Introduction to our recommended IFA’s (mortgage brokers) & solicitors
· On-going advice and consultancy
· Lifetime membership with ongoing access to our Auction & Below market value property.

For these services, they want me to pay a one-off payment of £350.

It sounds too good to be true to me really, but I'm asking here to see if anyone has any experience with one of these "property investment companies" and if they genuinely do help you find a cheap property

Thanks a lot - I tried searching for the term 'invest connect' and nothing came up which is why I made this new thread.. very odd

Wise man say "many wide boys in property" I too have tried to research this company but can't so they are not exactly established are they? Whether they are legitimate or not I would NEVER pay an up-front fee. I have been dealing in property for over 30 years and this 'offer' really worries me - I do my own research as I have experience of "discount properties" are anything but and estate agent backhanders are all over the place....For what its worth I personally think the market will fall further before it improves and if interest rates go back up........in my area there are many distressed buyer and bargains to be had without hiring such people - Good Luck
