Perfume for a Young Lady

Jean-Paul Gaultier's Classique is lovely, and very popular, but unfortunately it's not cheap! Not sure what your budget is for her present, but I managed to get a small 20ml bottle of the EDT version for £25-ish the other day.
This is what I use, I have 3 bottles of it on the go at the moment (courtesy of duty free
) but it is expensive like you say. I know you say you don't want a pop star one, but Brittany Spears does surprisingly good purfume and it isn't that expensive. Other than that, Vera Vang is another one Miracle by Lancome is really nice. Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0 -

Lots for me to think about - I'm going to go and have a sniff at some tomorrowI used to work in a pharmacy so I sold perfume and Jean Paul Gaultier and D&G Light Blue were bought by older ladies (30+) in my experience. I loved Tommy Girl as a teenager (I'm 24 now) but that's probably a bit out-of-fashion now.
I don't know how fashinable it is but Tommy Girl is half price at the moment so is one I was going to look at!0 -

It is nice and my mum (who's 49) also likes it. It doesn't last on the skin very long though.
I also agree that Britney perfumes are lovely and really good value! You can get 100ml bottles of the Fantasy range ones for about £20. People have asked me what my perfume was before and been shocked when I said it was Britney.

I agree with Paul Smith perfumes, they're light and floral. I also like Stella McCartney's L.I.L.Y which comes in a lovely bottle.0

Some of the Benefit eau de toilettes are nice, and the bottles are quite quirky

OP, if you decide to go with this, I have a 100ml bottle of this, still sealed in original packaging.
I'll do you a deal!
You can do me a deal, I've almost run out and its not my birthday for months!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Hi all
I've had a lovely morning sniffing different beautiful fragrences!
In the end, I did go for the Tommy Girl. Very pretty smell and I think will suit my friend's daughter.
Thanks for all the advice0
