Lost paper driving license

Can't find my old paper driving license. I'll be 70 next year and I believe I have to renew then. I understand there's a hefty fee to replace a lost license, would this still apply if I hang on till I have to renew at 70?

Just hang on until you reach 70. You will get a renewal form in the post.

Yes it is but if he gets a "producer" before then? Both parts are needed.

If it were me I'd be waiting 'till 70 & save the £20 but I'm not gonna advise anyone else to do that in case it all goes t!ts up.

Just wait for renewal, mine fell apart years ago and have not bothered to replace.

All records are held at DVLA if any problems.

On old style paper there is no two parts, "producer" what is that?
