reclaim ppi

last October I was contacted by Infinity compensation in Leeds and was advised I could reclaim ppi and other charges connected with mortgage and credit cards they told me I could get some money back by Christmas so I checked on the net to see if they were a legitimate company and found them listed on the M O J website also martin also talked about them in one off his news mail, so far I have had no money back they charged their fees to my c/c that they were claiming against.
Since then I have been able to contact them through their website until 2 weeks ago when I could no longer get on their website and can get no reply by leaving messages on the answerphone, can anyone shed any light on this company as I am bit concerned that I will lose the £2500 they put on my c/c for their fees

    Common lie by claims companies.

Probably with false reasons as well.

Unfortunately, you were scammed. Infinity compensation were struck off the authorisation life in August. Not an uncommon outcome of those making false promises and telling lies to get you to pay up front money.

You may be able to claim the fees back under the consumer credit act. That is unless your complaint involved the credit card in question. That may well create a potential block.

as you paid by credit card, you need to contact your provider and dispute the transaction, i would imagine you will get it back.
  • Hi
I'm being texted by an outfit claiming there is over 2 grand I can claim back for PPI.
I haven't responded since for the life of me I can't remember ever having taken out a loan.
The only exception was my mortgage with the Woolwich, as was. They charged me 750GBP for mortgage indemnity insurance. Is this what they are talking about?
I can't imagine how they got my mobile phone number. I am very careful with it. I am loathe to call them back without being prepared.
    Their number is 07776112253.
    Anybody shed any light.

No, it is not MIG. They are just making it up to try and get you to respond.
