Big win... bit nervous

You will be fine but make sure you don't have anything from the mini bar, as these are so expensive! especially the electronic ones where if you just pick an item up to look at it it goes straight on your bill - even if you put it back! plus if you have anything else from the bar etc be aware that a burger alone can cost as much as £15. Make sure you remember to bring your free toiletries etc home though they are always useful. enjoy!0

congratulations, don't worry - just enjoy that you are not paying -that will put a smile on your face and people will smile back.A ll the wins I have had for posh things dinner at Gordon ramseys and tea at the ritz have been really special and not at all too stuffy , at the ritz they were lovely and encouraged us to eat more sandwiches in such a nice way! ENJOY IT!0

If it's any comfort, I won a night in a 5* hotel and went this week.
Nothing to worry about. The staff were great and the chefs are more than happy to prepare the food the way you like it.
I think since the advent of Trip Advisor and deal sites like Late Rooms, Hotels are more accomodating. I have definitely seen a shift in the attitude of the staff.
We had a fantastic time. I'm sure you will too.
Well done! :jTo err is human, but to really mess things up you need a computer.0 -
Congrats!
I understand what you mean, but just try and enjoy it all and not worry about "the others."
You put the effort in, so just enjoy it!
I once attended a very posh event in a townhouse in central london as a result of a comp win. I only attended because that is what i had to do to get a £100 gift card.
Although i was dressed ok, i didn't realise that there would be a bunch of posh folk there... the type that wear louboutins and i remember one saying that £300 is reasonable to spend on a dress (in my dreams.)
Anyway, it was an experience and the people there were actually really nice and spoke to my friend and I like anyone else.
First i felt rather awkward but as the evening went on i relaxed and i was able to have a good time.
This is what comping is all about... having new experiences that one wouldn't necessarily be able to!
Hope you have a fantastic time!0 -

Well done, you will have a great time. OK so it might not be somewhere you go regularly, but the other guests there dont know that and they wont.
Just as long as you go and have fun, who cares what other people (who you will probably never see again) think.
Congratulations and enjoy.
Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56

well done-remember you are a winner!
think about this too-everyone that works in a hotel- however posh-is still working for a living and their job is too make you feel at ease and happy-enjoy!0 -
I don't know about anyone else, but the day's/night's out that I worry about always turn out to be the best

I really hope you have a fantastic time. Feel proud you won it and deserve it! :T:T0 -
A few years ago, my OH went out for a meal with a millionaire, this millionaire picked up lamb chops and ripped them apart with his teeth!
Moral, if you've got the money, you don't need airs and graces, go there and enjoy every moment. If you go feeling nervous, you will drop that fork and be mortified, swing it, relax!
Remember, money you put in their till is no different to anyone elses, enjoy, enjoy enjoy!
Roz
Ps Well done:)0
