Seller wants to take house of market!!

Found a gorgeuos house a few weeks ago and was pipped to the post as someone else put a offer in, which was accepted and sstc. we have trawled our area for houses and just cant find anything we like. Just out of interest i rang EA to see how the sale was going, to be told it had fallen through. My first thought was whooppieeeee, then was told that the vendor was considering taking it off the market, we really liked this house so asked the EA to inform the vendor that we would like to put in a offer. She said to ring back tomorrow when she's had a response from vendor regarding if he still wants to sell. My thoughts would be to go speak to the vendor and tell him we are interested and would give the full asking price or should i wait till tomorrow when EA has the full details??
always on the lookout for a bargin always better when its free!!:T

If you are living in the vicinity of the house, just put a note through the letterbox. State your keen interest and explain the background.
Because if you don't.... someone else might! For all you know this could be the EA or one of his chums.
If the vendors have truly changed their minds about selling, your note won't make a difference ( but it will flatter them!). But if they are still at the "shall we or shouldn't we" uncertain stage, you might just end up with the house of your dreams. Go for it and carpe diem!0 -
****update**** went to put a note through the door and saw vendor was in so knocked on the door, told him of our interest and he was pleased that id went and showed interest, gave him my number and hes gonna be in touch!!:jalways on the lookout for a bargin always better when its free!!:T0

Good stuff
I would be thinking the same
We've seen something we really like but not sold yet

Only thing I would caution is to make sure as far as you can that they really want to sell. If they are already having 2nd thoughts for some reason you dont want a sale to fall through after you've paid for survey or mortgage application because the vendor pulls out.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

OK, it looks to me that when the sale fell through, the seller took it off the market with the agent and the agent did not bother to forward your interest.nessquic80 wrote: »****update**** went to put a note through the door and saw vendor was in so knocked on the door, told him of our interest and he was pleased that id went and showed interest, gave him my number and hes gonna be in touch!!:j
Seller may now be planning to sell to you without going to the agent - but if he does the agent might claim their fee any way.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Maybe the seller got cheesed off with people making offers who were not in a position to proceed as they had not sold there own place.0
