Good and Bad Letting Agents in London (Islington Specifically)

My girlfriend and I are starting to search for a rental property in the Islington/Dalston/Hackney/Bethnal Green sort of areas. Can anyone recommend any good letting agents to use and probably more usefully, which ones to avoid?
Really worried about some agencies, like Foxtons, who charge obscene fees.
Thanks for any replies

The letting agent I used last (about 3 years ago) was Chesterton Humberts. I got ripped off less than with most letting agents, they didn't mess me around and I haven't been charged an annual fee for renewing the contract or been asked for annual rent rises the LL wasn't aware of. I suppose that's a recommendation of sorts.
Not your local branch though, so you might have a different experience.Saving for deposit: Finished! :j
House buying: Finished!
Next task: Lots and lots of DIY0
