I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

I was going for this type of look and actually thought the white tiles looked ok.

My kitchen is small - long, narrow and dark, hence all white! I intend to have units along 2 walls (galley style) with large prints/pictures to add some colour. DIY is not easy :(
Yes they do on two counts. First the tiles have bevelled edges which give the tiling some depth and secondly the very large contrasting drawer / door handles serve to break up the "slabiness" of the thing. IKEA don't do those large style handles any more IIRC but I guess you could get hanldes from elsewhere.

BTW either thats an old installation thats looking rather tired or its a carp install. Its not very good looking. Whichever (and given the design I'm 99% inclined to think the former) I'm surprised that a design company would put such a picture on its website. Each to his own.

Cheers, I haven't got such bad taste after all
I don't think anyone has queried your tase for one minute. But seeing as you asked for opinions I still think all the same white throughout with no changes of texture or even minor colour differences will be very clinical. But its your choice not mine and you are quite at liberty to invite me to keep my opinion to myself.

    Cheers

The fact that you have gone with an IKEA kitchen, and I have no issues with that, does not tie you into some obscure swenglish named tiles.

Not all gloss as others have said, and probably not all Ikea too, ;);)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
