Claiming bank charges from Lloyds TSB - Like talking to a brick wall! Help!

Hello everyone!
This is my first post so bear with me. I hope you can help me with any advice on reclaiming from Lloyds TSB as they keep giving me the same old story, as I am sure many of you are familiar with! Anyway, here goes, I originally tried to claim back all bank charges a few years ago when the test case was underway regarding the unlawfulness of the charges banks were passing onto customers, and was unsuccessful.
Anyway this year I realised that Lloyds TSB had been charging me interest on my balance whilst I was a student from 2007-2010. I successfully complained regarding this and they refunded me the interest totaling £600, plus an £100 inconvenience payment (I was surprised how quickly they dealt with this and was happy with the outcome at the time).
Once this was paid into my account I then wrote another letter to them to say the interest they charged me over this period contributed to me going over my overdraft limit and then incurring further more expensive charges (I estimate these to total around £800 - £1000+ which is alot more than an £100 inconvenience payment), so I felt this was very unfair and they should reimburse me for at least some of these charges as the interest charges from 2007-2010 shouldn't have been incurred on my balance in the first place and was their error, which they have then charged me further for! I then received a letter yesterday to state that they wouldn't be paying any of these further charges back to me, but they referred back to the test case story again (Test case says charges were fair), which in my opinion is not relevant in this case as there were charges being applied to my balance wrongfully (which they have already admitted, see above) which were then contributing to me going over my overdraft limit.
In the same letter they then said they were going to refund me £200 in charges incurred so far this year (nice of them, but no relevance to the charges from 2007-2010). I don't understand that if they are saying these bank charges are fair, they have then refunded me some charges which I haven't even asked for back? I was happy to pay these charges as I know why they have put in place and I had actually gone over my OD limit. What I am not happy about is they have basically ignored my request regarding the charges from 2007-2010.
I am going to write to the FOS regarding this anyway, but any ideas or advice from anyone else would be welcome.
Thanks for looking at my post anyway

You are entitled to those charge(s) back. If they were a direct result of being overdrawn, having been in that position due to a bank error, you are 100% correct. It may not be the full amount, as you will have used the account no doubt for the duration.
The only real scenario would be Charges refunded due to charges incurred as a result of bank error PLUS debit interest(already refunded).
It can be quite complex but they may as well give you the whole lot as (I'm guessing they don't have an automated system for this) it will take a lot of time to manually work it out.0 -
I wonder if anyone can help? I'm a single mum, a widow and I've been taking care of my ill daughter for a couple of years now, so unable to work. As a result of when payments go in and when DDs go out, I go overdrawn a fair bit. Now, I'm charged for the bounced DD, and I don't have an issue with that. However, I'm also charged £10 for an unplanned overdraft every time. Can the bank charge me for an overdraft, when the payment goes out, but comes back in almost immediately? The company is *not* paid and I'm charged for the failed DD? They've been doing this for several years and if I can claim them back it would be an enormous help.0

Have a chat with your bank. Lloydstsb do not charge an unplanned overdraft fee unless you borrow money without arranging it with them first.
The £10 sounds like a returned item fee, but the bank will explain it all to you.
I'm not sure why you have let this go for years?
You really should question any transaction (including the application of any charge) you don't fully understand as soon as you see it.0
