Please HELP!! Emails frustration

Going out of my head over this one.

Always had AOL and not used to any other system.

Now AOL gone and using E7even with Opera and when I try to send an email I get the following message.

Recipient error [553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)]

(Strangely enough I can send an E/M to my other name with the ISP but no on else.)

I am receiving E/Ms O.K. tho.

O.K. WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG???

    Check [thread=40905]this thread[/thread] and see if the symptoms are familiar.

    Well I searched and didn't find that thread.

    Looks exactly like my problem so a huge thanks for that.

    Will try to contact my ISP to see what the problem is.

    See if there's any help here.

    Sounds like you might have your SMTP server details incorrectly set, or you have smtp authentication set when it shouldn't be (or vice versa).

    Thanks to everyone I have now located the problem and I am able to send E/Ms O.K.

    The solution was spelling SMPT the correct way.

    Duh!!

    My new specs are on order.:)

    lol........You're not alone. Years ago had the same problem sending emails. I'd put STMP instead of SMTP. I kicked myself for being such a fool. Took me ages to spot it.lol
