Just as an aside, we are planning on handing in our notice at the end of this month anyway. When the landlord finds out we have given his proper address to the court, can he do anything to stop us getting our deposit back or make our lives difficult? No. You need to claim your deposit from the protection scheme as soon as you are out. If he disputes it, go to arbitration...you'll win. Long gone are the days when a LL could just keep a deposit and there was nothing you could do about it.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
