Question about The Perfume Shop win

Hey everyone.

I won a perfume with The perfume Shop but they want me to send them photo ID. The only photo ID I have is a passport but I don't feel comfortable photographing it and sending it via email.

Does anyone know if The Perfume Shop will still accept the ID if the passport number etc is blanked out?

Yes LM they should. As long as they can see your photo name and date of birth.

I took a photo of my driving licence with everything blanked out apart from name dob and photo and they were fine with it

I work for The Perfume Shop and co-ordinate all the Social Media Competitions. I can confirm that we only need to see your photo, name and date of birth. This is so that we can verify that you are the person that entered if you are picked as a winner for anything.

I've always wondered why you need photo ID? This is very rare and there's loads of people, like me, who don't have photo ID. I'm not allowed to drive, nor able to travel long distances so I don't have a licence or passport.
Isn't non-photo ID enough?

I, personally, think it's great! It stops cheats from winning with numerous profiles - I understand though how many people don't have photo ID

oh dear, looks like im avoiding comps from this company from now, i dont have photo ID :eek:

surely if they just messaged the person on facebook to get their address it would be the right person

i think its highly unfair on those of us who dont have photo ID
