  • I'm another for going with Green Flag.

I've been with them for a few years now, after being with the AA.

They are much cheaper, and are at least as good for attending you with a breakdown.

The only time Green Flag took longer than an hour to get to us was on the Orkney Islands. They only have one callout truck up there and when we broke down, around 5pm, it was out on a job on another island and couldn't get a ferry back the same day.

We were on holiday and Green Flag paid for us to get a taxi back to our accommodation, then a taxi down to meet the repairman the next morning. :)

Not sure the AA or RAC bother having more than one rescue truck on the islands either though. :rotfl:

Autoaid for £38 covers you and your partner for any car you are driving.

Includes, homestart, roadside breakdown, recovery to either your home or destination for up to 5 passengers. Its a Moneysavingexpert best deal.

  • Just taken out cover with the AA through Fiat. Its the car that's covered not you which wont suit everyone but for the top level of AA cover including breakdown cover in Europe it was £140 for 2 years, not too bad.

Autoaid are excellent - I would never bother with the RAC or AA these days. They're not there for their members these days so much as to make money by ramping up renewal subs.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
