Just wondering if this is unusal or if it is normal.

I have been getting child tax credits since my Baby was born in December last year but I have now gone back to my job so I am entitled to working tax credits as well.

My child tax credits is still being paid to me weekly but my working tax credit is going to be paid every 4 weeks.

Is this the way it usually is? I live at home with my Mum+Dad and they get all their tax credits weekly which I think would be easier for me. Can I ask to have it all paid weekly or is this just how some people receive theirs?

Hi

You can have both CTC and WTC paid either weekly or 4 weekly so when they set up your claim they will have just ticked the 4 weekly box.
Give them a call and they will be able to change it to weekly for you, it only takes a second to do.

It isnt a massive deal or anything , I am just so grateful for the money. It would just be a bit easier for me to have them paid weekly.

I will give them a call + ask if they would change it to weekly for me as that is how my child tax credits were always paid.
