I'm trying to work out whether if I sign up for nectar points I lose my discounts to EDF? I have just been on the website and there is a box about swapping something for 800 points but I can't make head nor tail of whether that is IT or whether you get so many points per useage etc.

Anyone shed any light???

Link is

edf energy

thanks

you get points for loyalty every quarter regardless

then you can choose to have your direct debit & dual fuel discount as either a reduction on your bill OR as nectar points

IMO much better to have the actual discount, but some people go beeswings over these nectar points :p

so I can sign up and will receive points regardless of whether I take the discount as points or as £?? That is what I want to do, so I get discount off my bill in £, but can earn points too on useage xxx

I have done this as well;) .

I signed up / registered to get Nectar points using form from EDF but on the form ticked the box to say I did not want to get Nector points for paying by direct debit. This was because the lower discounted prices from EDF for paying by direct debit was a greater saving than the points are worth.

As a result I get Nectar points each quarter simply for being with EDF regardless of usage and also kept dicounted prices with EDF for paying by direct debit :j .
    HTH.
    Regards

I signed up to SWEB - online tariff, as they were the cheapest, and then a few days later they increase the prices, and my original supplier PowerGen is the cheapest again!!
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

After a few phone calls, I now find SWEB are cheaper than PowerGen again.

SWEB tell me the price I signed up to online using an online price comparison site is the price I will pay.

I checked with these online price comparison sites and SWEB are indeed cheaper again.

Time after time, I keep saying I won't use those sites, because they either have out of date information, or the information is incorrect.
