I don't think there is a difference between the two...:think: I do know the purple bottles have lavender or something in to encourage relaxation but apart from that, not sure.

Thats why I got them I love Lavender & so much trouble getting to sleep lately with all the aches & pains still awake at 3am the other night

Seriously though. I think bath goes in (well) the bath, and wash goes on baby. I only ever have one bottle of either on the go and whichever one it happens to be I use it for both the bathwater and baby. She has never complained .
