Thanks everyone for your responses its has answered my original question but please don't make this thread into a who said what thread....:eek: If people feel affronted by someones response the simplest thing is to ignore it (myself included) ... its not worth an arguement PLEEEEEEEEEEEESE!!

hang on !! My comments about working were not to suggest that she should. Simply that she wasn't, nd it is relevant since if she worked she would be able to keep all the maintanance money.
I myself was a single mother for 11 years and didn't always work - who is being quick and nosy now ??
