    Joke aside, this is actually incorrect.

    Christianity used to ban charging interest on money in the exact same way Islam still does now.
    This is actually why the Jewish community went to be seen as bankers: Because there were the only one would could lend money and charge interests.

    The growth of commerce and related wealth from the Renaissance lead to the 'lobbying' of the political and religious authorities to allow it.

    Just another example of religion as a man-made social control tool...

    Innovate mentioned this penalty-free withdrawal option if they advise the target may not be met. I hope the terms actually specify what that means.

    Is it that you could have the money in an account for 18 months, they write to say the target isn't going to be met and therefore you can withdraw your capital in full but with no element of profit?
