Puppies explore the world with their mouth so the easiest solution is to physically prevent it. Move potted plants out of reach, barricade off garden plants - a puppy pen can usually be unfolded and used as a barrier in any shape you like, or some of that orange plastic fencing with bamboo canes could be a cheap, temporary solution. Keep puppy on a lead or a long line when out in the garden if you need extra control.
Keep suitable chew toys to hand and constantly redirect the puppy onto them, making lots of fuss and giving praise when they choose to chew a toy rather than an object they shouldn't chew.

Having had 2 pups in 3.5 years, I would say you cant! My Shepherd ate a whole nectarine tree apart from the trunk. The rest of the garden is a shadow of its former self.. the youngster even emptied out the pots i'd planted! and the damn thing has just dug out the last pot, turned himself and his surroundings black with compost..

Edit - and now fallen in the pond.... sigh

After reading the title I was thinking of plants similar to triffids that eat puppies!

Ooh triffids is a good idea. They are about the only plant that stands a chance of surviving in my garden!
