Gomez peer : is anyone not in "pending" status

Gomez use a bit of your CPU cycle (? or bandwidth) to test how their clients websites are functioning. I assume it would cost them millions to own all the servers themselves etc, so they ask you to download a program so they can use a bit of your computer (this is usually done by charities looking to solve problems)

The thing is, they have a "pending" status, where they use your computer, but then send you an email at the end of the month to tell you they have too many computers in your area (depsite using over 10 hours processing time on my comp). They give you a contact emaill address link which doesnt work, to allow you to express your thoughts on them.

If you look about, you will find that "pending" means you dont get paid the amount you have already "earned". Also, despite the money "earned" being imaginary, you are still placed on their list of earners, as if you got the money

So my quesiton is, is anyone not on "pending" status ? Is it worth continuing or are they just using my computer for free, saving themselves $100,000's in hardware, and basically conning me and everyone else on "pending" ?

Yes, I am on Active and have been paid several times by Gomez Peer. I think it was about a week before I got activated. If it gets to be much more than this you should email them, as they might just have too many people from your area already so no need to recruit any more.
  • they do have too many from my area (they say), but what annoys me is that they used 10 hours time of my computer, put me on the earning list, and never said anything about using my comp in "pending" for free but having no plan to pay me.

I think the ones that got "active" are bascially the chosen few and the rest of us get our comps used for free.

Im annoyed at the deliberate deceit more than anything.

Their email contact in the email didnt work (I think they know the score from experience). I got an email from them on the last day of March to say they didnt need me after using my comp all month.
