Does anyone else find the "best match" results confusing?
Looking for new handles for our front door, tried several ways including "front door handles" most results are for cupboard or internal handles, try it.
Plus this one £15 postage! For a pair of handles! 261092324321

Yes, Ebay's search facility is a bit rubbish most of the time. You will have better luck searching for "door furniture" in the DIY category-

Thanks but none of those say they are suitable for external use and using the word external doesn't help either. It just amazes me that you ask for listing in best match and cupboard handles come before door handles!0

Use the advanced search facility or simply type in:
Door handles -cupboard
That will exclude the word cupboard from the search.0 -
I wanted some nice chrome feet for a new sofa, Dont like the ones they come with.
But i would like to pay less for the feet than i did for the sofa.. You want how much???Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I rarely use "Best Match": it seems more concerned with sorting by seller hierarchy than by relevance. Often, the best bargains (especially for secondhand items) are from low-volume private sellers, but Top-Rated sellers' listings often take precedence over the ones that are actually selling what the customer wants.
Best Match is often confused: it doesn't, for example, realise that talc is the same thing as talcum, yet it thinks that search results for "stockings" should include anything with the word "stock" in the title!0
