Royal Mail Prices and Ebay Cheap Listing

Hi, I'm probably telling you all something you already know but just thought I'd remind everyone when listing on ebay, Amazon etc to remember that postal prices go up tomorrow. It's 34p for 1st class and 24p for 2nd class, I know this isn't much but on some of the large letter prices and packet prices it is more. There is some good news 1st class packets of 1001-1250g and more have come down in price. Just check out their website when you are working out your postage.
Also I have listed a few books on ebay today and it has only cost me 10p to list and 5p for buy it now - which is lower that it should be as I had starting prices of £2 and £2.50.
Hope this helps someone - apologies if there is a thread already but I couldn't see one.

Not sure which thread to merge this with..either the postal prices increase one or the one about the lower insertion fees for certain media items.
Clairec, the reduced insertion rates happened about a month ago, but watch the increased FVFs which sometimes end up costing you more than the listing and sale did in the 'old' days.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No worries...
It is definitely worth checking the increase in the FVfs though, they can really mount up now on more expensive media items.
The cheap listing though is useful as it means I chance more of my books on ebay, but at a low 99p start so I pay only 5p. In the old days I would really only list those I thought were guaranteed to sell as listing too many 'trial ones' even at 99p used to start costing a fortune. I tend to list say 10 books a week from my rotating stock, still checking what has sold in the past of course, as I don't mind risking the 50p it costs to list them all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
