I bought this a while ago when it was £111. It went up to £134 for several weeks, but has gone back to this great price.
It has DVI input, plus a fast refresh rate of 8ms. It also has some little (tinny) speakers which are fine for general computer noises, but wouldnt be any good for music or gaming IMO.
Grabbit as it will go fast!

Oh and the other important thing to know about this fab monitor is the dead pixels thing.
And mine has none at all, so excellent on that score as well!“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -

The 'Dead Pixels Thing'? Care to explain?0 -

Great for the price, beware of dead pixel risk though, 27 Jan 2007

For the price this is a great monitor. Picture is sharp and clear using DVI. Contrast seems best when turned down a bit from the default 100. According to the PDF manual, the response time is 5 ms, not the 8 stated here.
That would all make 5 stars, but I have two dead pixels in the bottom right of the screen, which don't seem inclined to start working yet, and I've been using the monitor for a week now. They're hardly noticeable though - I didn't spot them the first day I used the monitor. A stuck pixel went away after I gently pressed the screen. The PDF manual states that the HANNSG pixel tolerance is 0.01%, which means that up to 129 pixels are allowed to be bad before a warranty replacement is allowed! Hmm. Perhaps if you're really intolerant of dead pixels, spend a bit more on a monitor with a zero tolerance of dead pixels.

I just got a 17" flat panel at work and with the display set to 1280 and the DPI set to 120 many image objects and some fonts are rather small but it's just acceptable. This is the horizontal 'native resolution' of the lcd and produces the sharpest result and clearest text.
If I set it to any lower screen resolution everything becomes larger but the text fonts in particular lose their sharpness.
So is a 19" worth having for mainly home office (with some image work) use?0 -
It should be noted that this is a widescreen monitor, which means you get less visible screen than a standard monitor.

I am really stuck now. I really fancied the widescreen monitor and somehow have mabnaged to persuade my wife that it is a good idea - no idea how I blagged that one! I was just about to order it and then I noticed teh non-wide screen option. I am on a 4:3 15" TFT so I guess whatever I choose will be a fantastic upgrade.
I also saw this Acer one on Amazon that also seems good although it doesn´t have DVI - not that my current PC supports that although I guess a future one may do. Bit stuck now. Are these prices still great and shoudl I stick to the widescreen. I rarely watch downloaded TV/films on it so maybe I am best sticking to the 4:3 19" that gives a far bigger viewing area!?!?!0 -
Dont touch acer they have rubbish customer support, spend abit more & get a good brand monitor as this is what you will spend hours viewing.0

I've got one of these Hanns G 19"WS monitors, I can't recommend them enough. Mine is connected via DVI and the picture is spot on. I too can confirm that the responce time given by Amazon is wrong, it should say 5ms. The speakers are weak, but they are of course small, I haven't heard a single TFT monitor in my time that sounds that good.
