Switching Bank Provider - Opinions?

Hello,
I am looking at switching bank providers, for which I would need a current account and a savings account.
I am currently with Lloyds TSB (Offshore), and would like some opinions on other providers.
My main reasons for switching are because the online banking is poor and mobile banking is non-existent. I think in the UK Lloyds offer a much better service with dedicated iPhone and Android apps but these don't work with Offshore accounts
Also, I have had some bad experiences with their telephone banking and customer support..
I know Barclays have apps like Pingit etc, are they any good?
Any ideas or opinions would be great.
Thanks

I don't quite understand; what's the difference between a bank and a bank provider? The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0
