Something not right - dodgy buyer?

One of my auctions has been won by someone abroad, despite the fact it states I will only post to the UK. Buyer is located in Belarus, registered in Aug 06, has zero feedback and account has not been used. (I have since altered my Seller prefs to say not to accept bids from abroad). I contacted them to say I do not post abroad, so he replied saying he will contact his friend and have it sent to a UK address. Why would someone from Belarus buy a briefcase and have it sent to the UK?? Doesn't sound right to me. If they were to pay by Paypal, would I have any protection? I really want to get out of this transaction and any advice/suggestion from you experienced Ebayers would be very welcome! Thanks in advance.

I would run a mile from that one, if it says post to UK only then contact them and point it out that they have made a mistake in bidding.

It has scam written all over it IMHO.
