Hi, paid for an item yesterday by PayPal & seller contacted me today to say she hadn't been paid; the amount was showing as 'unclaimed' in my account, I told her so & she has asked me to send payment again but to a different PayPal email. I've cancelled the original payment but it appears to be on hold.
Am I safe enough to pay again? Will this amount come out of my account twice? What exactly does 'on hold' mean?
Thanks in advance.

More likely that the seller just mistyped their email addy for PayPal in the listing.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Not sure, think she's given eBay the wrong PayPal email? I paid via eBay as I always have done, no idea how I could've done it wrong!More likely that the seller just mistyped their email addy for PayPal in the listing.
It's two totally different email addresses so doesn't appear to be a mistype.
What I'm really asking is, now that I've cancelled from my end the money can't be claimed at her end (can it)? I appreciate this may come across as a daft question but I rarely use eBay/PayPal & have never had an issue before so all this is new to me!
I genuinely don't think she's dodgy or a scammer, but don't want to be left out of pocket or having to chase up my own money...Quid quid latine dictum sit, altum videtur0 -
