    Hi All,

I've been with Alliance & Leicester now for just over 10 years and haven't had any problems whatsoever with them - My main problem with paying in at the branches is that they always try and sell you the credit card, which I already have! :-)

Phone calls I have made (although again, only very few) have always been answered quickly and acurately, whilst the branch staff (at least in Liverpool, Chuch Street!) are very pleasant

I really like the way too that any cash paid in at either a branch or Post Office is credited to the account immediatly, and doesn't require having to fill in a paying in slip, they credit your account using your card and giving you a reciept.

    Cheers

I would like to warn people A&L charges £1.50 for every withdrawal of your own money abroad and blaming the other bank for charges. But I have no such problem with Nationwide. Also the exchange rate with Nationwide is far far better.
