Finally got the letter through about the last overpayment I made on the sainsburys loan confirming they've received it and that the last payment will come out next month and then that's it DONE :j Have saved around £167 in interest through the overpayments I've made and have paid the loan off in 17 months rather than 24New House... Well that £60 overpayment went winging its way across to the mortgage company :T Pay day is Friday and was hoping to be able to OP £500 straight away but we're out for a friends birthday for a meal, have a few other birthdays in November and an unexpected bill has cropped up so I think it'll have to be £400 instead. A bit disappointing but still £400 is going to be a nice amount to pay over so must be positive!!
Had a bit of a naughty weekend, had a lunch out yesterday, takeaway pizza last night and a few glasses of wine while watching strictly and met a friend for coffee todaySo have spent more than I thought but I don't do that every weekend at least ( I couldn't afford to! )
I am rather impressed with how well we've done on the grocery challenge this month though. Done our final big shop of the month this weekend and spent £28.48 so as long as I don't spend anything else before Friday then we'll have come in under budget :T
Right off to tidy the kitchen and potter round the house for a bit before settling down to watch the results for strictlyNew House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

Well I refrained from going to any more shops so came in well under my budget for the grocery challenge in October. Lowered my target slightly for November so here's hoping with some careful meal planning I'll manage to hit that target too!
DH was paid today so sent the £400 mortgage OP tonight :T Still a bit touch and go whether we'll make the £1200 target by the end of the year but wanted to set a target that was a challenge or else what's the point if its easily achievable!New House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

Money left over at the end of the month?! Surely a first
So an OP of £50 made today. Pay day tomorrow so hoping to make an OP of £200 tomorrow, just need to check finances.
