If Lloyds won't take you, try NatWest - if you don't want to borrow anything, they may offer you a distance banking only account - you only get basic pay money in / take money out facilities, and telephone banking, but it's a start, and you can work up to getting better facilities once you've proven your business is running smoothly.

Are Lloyds TSB pretty lenient then?

I've to phone them ASAP regarding a business current account, didn't think they'd touch me cause I'm under 18.

Seems that Lloyds TSB are pretty leniant, I've an appointment with a business manager on Wednesday and the person I spoke to on the phone said I was pretty much guaranteed to be accepted despite my age.

Since I'm a pretty high risk customer due to being under 18 in most banks eyes, they might be easier to get an account with if you have adverse credit too :)

I have heard that the Co-op are quite good with people who have been bankrupt in the past, it may be worth getting in touch with them, as you have just defaults. If you dont want credit and explain that to them, you may get a sympathetic ear.

Are you an FSB member?, they may be able to help, or you may be able to get advice from your local Business Link.

    Good Luck

Do you have to have a BUSINESS bank account? If you aren't trading under a business name, you may be able to get away with an ordinary current account (depending upon your business type).

If you have a personal account anywhere, what about a second account to keep business money separate? As long as you're not passing a lot of cash/cheques through the account, chances are the Bank may not notice.
