Virgin Value Advance - when do they go on sale?

I want to buy a virgin value advance 1st single C ticket - the cheapest 1st class available. There are a limited number of these that go on sale. I know they are available 12 weeks before your journey, but when exactly do they go on sale? At midnight? 9 am?

Does anyone know?

12 weeks is wishful thinking - it varies a lot, it's not an exact period. The Virgin web site says 6-8 weeks.

Sorry, don't know the time of day or even if that's fixed.

The number of cheap advance tickets has reduced over the years, in my humble opinion. They seem to disappear very quickly.

Thanks dzug. What a pain. I will just have to keep checking a couple of times a day. I have checked the week before I want to go and there are B and A tickets available, but not the C. I imagine the C band tickets sell out very quickly, so it is just luck of the draw.

I'm trying to get a virgin advance ticket for 18th Aug- I've been checking the site for ages but they don't seem to be released yet. However, I've staretd getting paranoid that I've missed them. Does the display show the tickets but show them as unavaiable if they are released but sold out? I can't remember.

Depends which site you use - some do, some (including the Virgin one itself) don't IIRC.
