I'm sorry, but does it really matter if they look a bit untidy in the airing cupboard?

For me it's not so much the looking untidy as the fact that it makes the piles of stuff in the airing cupboard very wobbly.

I do as nearlyrich does - I put the sheet, duvet cover, and pillow case inside the other pillowcase. This looks neat, stays stacked, and makes life very easy when changing the bedclothes.

There's an guide here with pictures.

    Pink

It took me a couple of minutes to work out what the instructions meant, but I have now folded a fitted sheet neatly for the first time ... theres no looking back now!

I put the sheet(s) pillowcases and duvet cover for each bed set inside one of the pillow cases from the set, keeps it all together and you can just fold it in half and stack neatly. I do fold the sheets as Mrs m above suggests before packaging them up.

I never thought of this! It is fabulous - no more double sheets in the single pile! I'm going off to do it right now...
    Is it home time yet?

Pink, that diagram is driving me mad, I can't seem to get the hang of it at all!
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

Cracked it!!! My sheet isn't as tidy as the diagram but I understand the principle. I blame it on my lack of visual spacial awareness and not on the beer I've just had!!!!

I've never thought of putting linen inside pillow cases, what a good idea. I do fold them all and what a carry on then struggle to find all the bed linen to change eat bed. I'm going to start packing them inside a case, great idea, thanks.

Oh and mines in an ottoman so wobbly doesn't matter :)
One day I might be more organised...........
