Also, I bought some transformers digital watches today. I thought they would make a great alternative to the traditional party bag so was getting them for my little boy's party next year (November....we've already planned pirates for this year!). I got 12 of them at 2.50 each instead of ten and then 342 so 20 pounds for 12 watches (paid with points). OH scuppered things slightly though by saying "what if all the watch batteries have run out by next year" and then I read a review on boots and the person only gave the item one star. So my question is, should I take them back or do people think I'd be mad to (when so many others haven't been able to find anything....in other words don't look a gift horde in the mouth) or would you keep them (cos they'd make an awesome gift if they are any good (there was only one review on boots so can it be totally trusted?). Thanks

Managed to get a few bits in Portsmouth in the end, not much left at all though.

    Got:
    Daisy doodle £4.25
    Imaginext ambulance £5:50
    Fab Effex theme £2:50 (free!)
    Elc gymnast Rosie £2.00
    Disney fairy facecloth 50p

    Thanks OP!
  • So glad most people are managing to get things!

I went to Harlow today, got lots of stuff to put away for Xmas and birthdays coming up, I think the reason there was so much left was all the old SELs were still up, I got the SA to check the prices for me - they all were going through at 75% and 3 for 2.

So even if your store doesn't show the right prices do ask a friendly SA to check for you.

Ah so you were the person that got there before and bought it all.:rotfl:

Seriously though there were some better than expected items left. Got some cuddly Gruffalo and Mouse toys, Hungry Caterpillar pull along and some Daisy Doodles.
  • Anyone tried Staines or slough today pls?
  • Worth checking stores again, i got a few things at East Kilbride yesterday but i went back in first thing this morning on the off chance and they had loads more stuff out. I got cars Lego sets for £1! LEgo City Ambulances for £3.50 and that was before the 3 for 2 kicked in. I also got loads of Playmobil (medium size) and smaller Lego city sets to put by.
  • Most of the shelves are bare and they even have some new christmas toys out.

They did have loads of peper pig watches @ £2.25, Ben & Hollie toys @ £1.75, Dr Who screw drivers £3.75, Dr Who pens @ £1.50, Dr Who mini figures set @ £2.50, ITNG tooth brushes 88p, Jcb soft toy, Barbie dolls but only a few left. They also had a M&P made with love cover for £8.xx. They had one pack of happyand figures @ £4.00, Miffy chime ball @ £2.00 but again only one left and Fisher Price Go Baby Go @ £1.25 (down from £20)

The Sa said one woman practically cleared everything yesterday. She went in 6 times!

    Anyone been to Princes Street?
