its the 1980 limitation act, time barring basically. as the op didnt complain about the charge within 6 years.There is no limitations act with that limit.
firms are using it more and more now.
other firms like you have mentioned refer to the 6 years for dpa issues, but in this case if they refer to limitation they mean the above.0 -
The FOS will not consider credit card charge related complaints from before April 2007, because they didn't take on jurisdiction for credit related complaints until that date.0
