Anyone had difficulty with this? I changed from British Gas in early January through Moneysupermarket and was supposed to get £30 cashback. I have emailed them but just got the usual generic reply.

cashback from EDF? Did you e-mail EDF or MS. You should chase this up with MS and not EDF. EDF have nothing to do with the broker incentive to use their site0

Hi,
I applied a while ago and phoned them about the cash back, apparently they pay it out in batches not individually. I was told that they get monthly reports from the suppliers showing who has gone live and who hasn't. According to their terms and conditions it can take anything between 2-3 months after you have gone live with your new supplier. As long as you have gone live then you don't need to worry about it as you will get the £30 within a maximum of 6 months.

This may have been posted before but on getting my EDF bills I phoned and complained about their prices, i.e. no price rise. They immediately offered me a reduced rate until 2008, saying that they only offer this to customers who phone to change from British Gas and for their own customers who wish to change supplier. This rate supposedly beats British Gas. I was assured there is no lock in or fee to change. When asked why they did not announce this to existing customers and when did this come in, the operator answered that it had been in for a few weeks and that the directors knew market forces!!! My query is what about the poorly paid and pensioners who do not know about this and are carrying on paying the higher rate. Where is decency these days.0
