    Brilliant, well done x.
  • Well done you. I have just been informed by the FSCS that they will only take on complaints for loans taken out after January 2005. My loan taken out April 2004. Is there nothing else I can do about this, it is a hefty sum of PPI and I will be gutted if I cannot claim.

Thanks in advance for any help.
  • Sorry meant to say original loan was taken out with First Plus.
    Thanks again
  • I originally out my claim through in Jan 2011 straight through the Ombudsman, they passed it to the FSCS late 2011/early 2012 who in turn passed it to a company called Deloitte in July/August time, Deloitte were very abrupt about everything and said if I didnt give them all the detils they required they would simply close the case, due to me be so busy at work and then a redundancy I havent got round to it until today, does anyone know what the chances are for me to still get a payout??

Give them a call and ask, hopefully you won't be too late.

Was it Norton or FP ? Norton could have been the broker, if it was Norton then you need to call whoever you make the payments to and ask who the insurer was and put the claim into them.

If it was FP then put the claim direct to them.
This was single Premium PPI that was added to the loan over the term with interest, the PPI usually ran out before the loan end date but it was still on the loan with interest and you had no cover, use these as reasons for mis sell and also the fact the full cost of this PPI would not have been explained to you in full when you took the loan to make an informed decision.

They contacted me a year ago after receiving a fraudulent enquiry alleging to be from me.
When I explained that I'd never made the enquiry they told me they'd remove all my information from their system and that I wouldn't be contacted again.
    So far so good....

Today they phoned saying that they were contacting people who'd enquired about a loan some time ago blah, blah blah....

So much for their promise to remove my details from their system - details which were provided by a malicious 3rd party, as I'd never made an enquiry in the first place.

If they can’t be trusted to do a simple, ethical thing like carrying out their promise to cease contacting someone, why should anyone assume that they have any honesty or integrity in other areas?

This is NOT the "Norton Finance" in the original post.
