in Credit cards
I have a really random question.
I am going to get a new laptop and was wondering can you pay for things with a Credit Card and Cash ?
My capital one card has a limit of only 200 so that's why i would need to use both.
Obviously i will just pay with cash but was Wondering....
My mum said it's possible as she worked at saisbury's

Most tills can break up a transaction. Just say you want to put £200 on the card and the rest as cash.0

Yes, you can even if your mum doesn't work at sainsbury's

Ultimately it is down to the retailer in question but in theory there is no issue with doing it and certainly some retailers allow you to split the transaction across multiple sources0

Would this also give you protection on your purchases, even if you pay part of the transaction on your CC?Hopeful optimistic.0

Yes. That's why even when you buy stuff like a brand new car you should always put a couple of hundred pounds on a credit card as deposit, and then pay the balance however you like.
You then get full protection on the whole purchase!0
