What does a NHBC guarantee cover

We're hoping to buy ahouse which is 4 years old and has a NHBC certificate.
The vendors infomration form suggests that they have this but they also have guarantees for damp course, double glazing, electrics, roofing and central heating. Vendors have told me that they have had none of this work done since they bought the house from the builders.
I would have thought that the NHBC certificate would cover all of this work and they wouldn't have separate guarantees.
Any thoughts, as the production of this additional paperwork is delaying our chain

Does that work?
It's the policy for homes registered after October 2005, but it will give you the rough guide.
Your vendor should not have to produce seperate guarantees, anyhow.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
