I am glad I'm not the only one slumped in front of the TV following a slow cook session ( pork in cider and Midsummer Murder in my case :rotfl::rotfl:)

    Enjoy!

Sounds perfect! You enjoy too! :j

  • Yay, I get paid a little bit on Friday :) I can't remember how much (and it's not much, that I do know) but it's something, so not to be sneezed at!

  • Expensive day today  GCSE results, so a bit of a day of it...

Lunch out, then titting about in the arcade for a bit (nothing expensive just some air hockey and pool), then film (that bit is free) then a gluten free meal at daughter's favourite restaurant that I only go to once in a blue moon because it's easily going to cost me £40!

On the plus side, I costed up the marinara sauce and it came to 23p per person, not including herbs, which are all dirt cheap bulk buy or tesco value anyway, so pffftttttt.

  • That wasn't a cheap day, but worth it, and daughter deserved a bit of treating :)

I now have a £44 overspend to gradually pay off out of my £20 weekly budget.

I'll sort it :) I've dealt with worse!

  • Payday today :) £510 has gone in, and I have another payday with roughly £200 to go through on the 28th (I think).

I'm counting down the days now until I start earning proper money again... 1 week! And that's with my new lesson fee (£1 increase) so it's a good monthly increase I'm expecting.

Bank account now reads £162. Ouch. It should be well into 4 figures this time of the month, as my tesco credit card needs paying off it's monthly spends, £200 for savings pots, and I need to have £800 left to start me off through the monthly bills. So that's not going to happen this month.

    Onwards and upwards.

Hopefully, if I carry on carefully budgeting, I'll have a buffer in place for this time next year. It looks like I need an extra £1500 in the current account to do that. I'll give it a shot!

  • Cheaper day today, phew!!

Have done a bit of teaching (and I have one more hour to go from 1.30pm then I'm done for the week)
Slow cooker is on and simmering an aduki bean casserole nicely :) I'll make sausage and mash for daughter later. I also need to make a shepherds pie tonight and get that in the freezer before I lose the mince to its date.

    Then done!
New weekly spend week tomorrow, so I can start making up for this week's £24 overspend. Ouch.

  • (It wasn't a £44 overspend, I forgot to include the actual budget when I added it up! So only a £24 overspend. Much better)

Free parking again. When the council upgrade their ticket machines, they might actually get payment more often.

  • This weekend has worked out differently to how I planned it... I had a friend due to arrive today but he is laid up in bed with lurgi/plague so has cancelled, which means we are two meals down on our meal plan. Although the weekend will undoubtedly end up cheaper. (And friend will reschedule so we'll meet up another time when he's not infested with plague)

    Sooo...

Daughter has suggested chips and curry sauce for one meal, which does mean popping out to tesco to buy some value chips, but that's not an issue. And possible sausage and mash for day 2.

Now to work out what to do with the next two days I have off work with no friend to entertain!!

  • That's that sorted then... a bit of house stuff this morning and afternoon then free cinema (clubcard) at 5.45pm and nearly free Prezzo (clubcard) at 8.30pm.

How did I cope before clubcard boost?

I suppose I should get off my !!!! and get moving now :)
