I have just placed a bid on a pair of second hand shoes. I meant to enter £2.12 and ended up mistakinnly entering a bid f £212.12:eek::eek::eek:
There are 6 days left to go. I am about to email seller and ask her to cancel my bid, but what if she refuses? is there anything I can do?
thanks

Retract the bid yourself and re-bid the correct amount. you have a perfectly valid reason.0

I agree, don't bother the seller- just retract the bid yourself with the explanation 'entered wrong price' and then re bid at £2.12.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Seller cannot stop you as the auction has not ended.
It will show under your buyer details how many times you retract bids.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thank you all for such quick replies. I've never had to retract a bid before so didnt realise it was so easy, especially when the first search result came back with a big paragraph on how a bid was legally bidding.
On a seperate issue, judging from my initial post, it appears it may be time to pick the keys off my keyboard and give them a clean.......probably the reason why I got into the situation in the first place
