I'm another Venture satisfied customer. Used them about 4 years ago and the quality was outstanding. Paid about £1000 for 4 of the smaller pictures and 1 large one all in quality frames. No pressure whatsoever and will use them again in the future.

Same with me - I went in with a set budget in my head and stuck to it and am more than satisfied with the results:j
  • Independent photographers are sometimes far better - and much cheaper - than Venture. Shop around and check as many portfolios as you can. Anyone who pays £400+ for one of their terrible photographs must be suffering a mental abberation - A4 prints should not realistically cost more than £40.

Also, Venture's ghastly artificial 'high key' style will go out of fashion quite quickly.
  • These high-pressure and dodgy dealings are nothing new to photography studios .

My parents were cujoled into one about 12 years ago by a local independant studio . My mother entered a "competition" to get a session for free . Lo and behold she "won" - but of course the photos themselves were extra ,a great deal extra , and we were'nt allowed to buy a small photo only the larger ones . After much wrangling and heated phonecalls we were then allowed to have a small one .

Venture are all over the place and seem to be the kings of high-pressure dodgy dealing . My GF entered one of their "competitions" recently and they phoned her up saying she'd "won" . She then told me this and I told her to steer clear . They then preceded to phone her at work every day for 2 weeks not taking no for an answer until she had to be rude and put the phone down on them .
