Travel Insurance - Family or Individual Cover

Hi, I am looking at getting family (2 + 2) annual Worldwide travel insurance for an upcoming family trip to Dubai.
I am also having a few days in Prague this month with friends (without the family).
Would my family travel insurance cover me if I am away without the family? Or would I need to get individual cover insurance for this separate trip?
Thanks in advance

The vast majority would cover this.
There are some policies which would not cover the partner or children to travel separately from the policyholder though.
Have a quick read through the policy, it will say whether it's covered.
There are companies that will cover either of the adults to travel independently, these companies tend to highlight this fact in their features and benefits or FAQs as it's a benefit a lot of people look for.
Martin recommends the cheapest possible Travel Insurance, personally I would not recommend this as there's a massive difference in cover and claims between the cheapest and best. Take your time and find a good balance between price and cover.
The Post Office offer a good policy that covers partners to travel independently0 -
Thanks, I'll take a look at the Post Office policy now.0
